FAQ

What do the different membership types mean?

Cowork members (bronze-platinum level) share Artisan Alley’s communal resources, but don’t have a dedicated studio space. Resident members receive all the same benefits as platinum level cowork members, and have a studio at one of our locations that can be accessed 24/7. Resident members are also asked to contribute to the collective by either donating 10 hours a month teaching classes or joining one of our committees, or by paying $40/month to cover membership fees.

Do I have to pay to become a member?

There is an application fee to become a member as well as a refundable deposit, but bronze level members can contribute 20 hours/month to hold membership rather than paying monthly. We also offer scholarships to assist members who are unable to pay membership dues or contribute time.

Is my deposit completely refundable?

Yes, membership deposits are 100% refundable, provided there is no physical damage to the space.

As a member, can I use any Artisan Alley location for free?

Yes! All of our locations are available for personal use by our members, regardless of which location you’re a member at. If you plan on hosting an event or reserving a space, we ask that you check our calendar to make sure the space isn’t already reserved and let us know when you’ll be in the space. If you plan on using one of our locations for a gathering or an event you collect profit from, we ask that you pay the discounted member venue rental fee. We understand all events are different, so feel free to reach out and ask any questions you may have about your event.
